Podcast: Dr. Richard Tayrien on hCare

We’re excited to present you with a two-part podcast interview with Dr. Richard Tayrien, HCA’s Chief Health Informatics Officer. Since joining HCA nearly a year ago, Dr. Tayrien has been busy heading up hCare, HCA’s electronic health record (EHR).

In this first installment, Dr. Tayrien talks a little about how he became interested in health information technology as a practicing clinician, the challenges facing any company deploying an EHR, and why being able to demonstrate meaningful use of an EHR is so important.
