Find out how you can benefit from a rewarding career at HCA, the nation's leading healthcare company.

Joining the leadership team of the award-winning, full-service, acute-care facility, Menorah Medical Center, is the new Chief Operating Officer, Lenetra McCord. Lenetra was named earlier last month by HCA Midwest Health System, Kansas City’s largest healthcare network.
“We are very fortunate and excited about the leadership Lenetra will provide to our organization as we expand the services we provide to the community,” says Menorah Medical Center Chief Executive Officer and President Steven D. Wilkinson, FACHE. ““Her energy and passion for and commitment to operational excellence will help reinforce and drive the continued growth Menorah has experienced in high-quality, coordinated patient care.”
Lenetra comes over from Tulane Medical Center where she served since 2008, first as an associate administrator, then as vice president of operations/co-ethics and compliance officer. Most recently she was the hospital’s interim chief operating officer.
At Tulane, Lenetra maintained ancillary and support services and the cardiovascular, neurosciences, stroke and inpatient rehabilitation clinical service lines. She also held leadership roles in patient satisfaction, employee engagement and physician satisfaction.
Her healthcare management career began at Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, Missouri.
Leading employee engagement and culture refinement efforts such as leadership development teams is only a small part of her accomplishments. Lenetra also has expertise with fostering strong partnerships with the chief nursing officer and nursing vice presidents to improve the patient experience.
She helped Tulane Medical Center achieve certification as a Primary Stroke Center less than two years after the program began and with securing a Get With the Gold-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Lenetra earned her bachelor of science in health management from Florida A&M University, a master’s in health administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and a master’s in business administration from Rockhurst University.
“I look forward to helping Menorah Medical Center continue its excellent service to the community,” says McCord. “Menorah is an organization that is expanding to better meet the needs of patients and families with progressive and innovative programs. I am excited to be a part of that, and pleased to be back in Kansas City.”
Mel Lagarde, president of HCA Midwest Health System, says McCord’s wealth of experience and commitment to excellent patient care emulates HCA Midwest’s mission. “Our hospitals are dedicated to providing every patient with the highest level of care in an environment where people, compassion, community and integrity are valued,” says Lagarde. “Lenetra will help enhance what Menorah Medical Center offers to the community.”
